CRTL was established in 1962 as National
Technical Library.

CRTL is one of the biggest Bulgarian
libraries in the field of science, technology and economics.

CRTL collects Bulgarian and foreign
information sources such as periodicals (journals, magazines, newspapers),
books, handbooks, encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference materials,
deposited scientific papers and dissertations, conference proceedings,
UN reports, company profiles and product catalogues, databases on CD-ROM,

CRTL's holdings retrospection is more
then 40 years.

CRTL disposes and maintains the national
holdings of deposited scientific papers and dissertations in all
fields of science and technology.

CRTL is the only library in Bulgaria
authorized to deposit unpublished scientific papers.

CRTL develops its own ONLINE
CATALOGUE since 1984.
